Welcome to the interactive Story Maps for the Wet Tropics basins. The stories bring together science and knowledge into an holistic catchment profile, presented through map journals, videos, spatial information, photographs and narrative.
The Catchment Profiles describe the physical features of the catchments, such as geology, topography, natural features and land uses. As well, a range of experts with diverse knowledge of the area have ‘walked the landscape‘ of each catchment, systematically working through the catchment to identify values and management priorities.

In addition to the Catchment Profile Story Maps, a vast range of NRM information can be accessed through the Queensland Government’s WetlandInfo website. The site includes comprehensive information, tools, maps and resources for wetland management, with summarised spatial data such as species lists, protected areas, wetland extent and much more.
